Andy Adsetts

Andy is a managing partner and is our resident finance expert. He is as comfortable installing a network as he is creating a quarterly budget. Andy is self-taught in IT, giving him a distinct view; his commitment to exceptional client service rubs off on everyone around him. Andy was born and raised in England, and does a great American accent. Ask him to demonstrate it sometime.

Will Biergiel

Will has earned 2 Associate Degrees in Computer Science; as well, he has earned his MCITP Server 2008 certification and Windows 7 certification. In addition to his extensive Microsoft knowledge, he also has strengths in Cisco Network technologies and Apple desktop support. Before joining Vital Networks, Will worked for Hewlett Packard in Roseville where he supported 300+ end users.

In his off time Will enjoys spending time on his road bike, playing disc golf, and running in big, open fields with his pug, Otis.

Jeff Boly

Jeff runs our Seattle Office, where he tries to stay dry, and enjoys the incredible Indian summers. Jeff is an avid runner, cyclist and skier. Jeff has competed with his running team in 26 straight Hood to Coast relays in Oregon. As much an engineer as an outdoorsman, Jeff has taken everything apart since he was a kid, and now he can put everything back together as well. Jeff managed IT departments for many Silicon Valley companies before moving back to the Pacific Northwest. Most notably bringing Handspring, Inc. IT from a one server startup of 20 employees to 350 employees and all of the associated infrastructure in just 3 years.

Sean Burns

Sean spent years as an IT enthusiast building his own servers and PCs before seeking formal training at Boston University CEDU and Millenium Technical Institute. Before joining the Vital Networks team, Sean was a Technical Support Specialist with a focus on providing exceptional customer service in support of a wide range of network topologies. His responsibilities included performing troubleshooting analysis as well as resolving hardware and software issues for workstations, servers and associated systems.

Sean spends play time with his wife and 3 sons doing the fun stuff in life, including "tent-popcorn-movie" nights in the living room, toasting s'mores out back by the fire pit, and cheering on all of the Pro sports teams in Boston. When he's not experimenting with new technologies, Sean pursues his other passion -- writing and producing music in his home studio.

Jon Davies

Jon runs our Bay Area office, otherwise known as "Team Extreme". Originally from New Zealand, you'll find him on the slopes or on his bike in his off time. Our resident Google fan boy, Jon probably knows more about the illustrious GOOG than some of their own employees!

Jonathan Eggers

Jonathan is in the Boston office on Team Chowda. Before joining Vital Networks, he oversaw IT for a Boston-area museum and spent several years as an IT consultant in Chicago and in the Cleveland area. Jonathan is currently earning his Masters in Computer Information Systems with a focus on Project Management. Outside of the office Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife and friends, photography, and exploring New England.

Tom Fitzgerald

Tom is a Senior I.T. Consultant in the Boston office. Prior to joining Vital Networks, Tom managed the technology of a law firm with offices in Austin and San Antonio. Previously Tom was the I.T. Manager of an employee benefits firm with offices in Boston and Atlanta. When not working, Tom enjoys running, exploring cities, and cross-country skiing.

Thanh Giang

Thanh started in the IT field in 2001 and traveled a career path of various specialty areas of the IT Industry, such as physical security integrations and network-based surveillance infrastructures. A generalist who loves to know everything and anything IT related, Thanh has a hands-on approach when it comes to his knowledge base and skill sets.

Thanh has certifications in MCP, CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+ and is pursing more. He enjoys the outdoors, gardening, photography, videography and loves cooking -- he's always on the look out for a great recipe!

Kara Green

Kara was the first non-IT consultant ever hired to the team. She handles the bookkeeping, HR, and marketing efforts. She recently ran her first marathon and all of us in the office are betting she ran the whole thing with her usual big smile on her face.

Roman Hanjiev

Roman is the smartest guy on the team and 2009 Employee of the Year! When everyone else has tried (and failed) to come up with a solution to a complex problem, Roman can be relied upon to save the day. He is both analytical and personable, and can usually be found riding his bike on trails around the area in his downtime.

Doug Heestand

Doug is the President and founder of Vital Networks. He has an "open cube" policy and believes the "best idea wins" no matter where it comes from. Doug has been forbidden from taking clients out to lunch because it's easy to make him laugh and he is a notorious "drink sprayer". Don't sit across from him at a restaurant if you're even remotely funny.

Peter Hill

Peter is part of the team in the Boston office, and enjoys working with both Macs and Windows PCs. Originally from the Boston area, Peter spent his last few years in Ohio doing IT support for small businesses. When he’s missing from the office, you can probably find him boating, swimming or lying on a couch with a good book.

Perry Hvistendahl

Perry grew up in Minnesota and spent 10 years in Austin, TX before moving to the Bay Area and joining Vital Networks. He has spent many years setting up complete networks. He works through all the tough problems with ease, and loves homemade chocolate chip cookies. Even in his free time Perry is known to keep technology within reach, like using his phone to track his bike ride or find a good Thai restaurant in the area.

Eric Johnson

Eric is a managing partner and our resident Mac guru. His engaging personality makes him popular with all of our clients, and his knowledge of both PC and Mac platforms makes him a triple threat! Eric also lectures at UC Davis, plays lots of golf, and has been known to engage in friendly competition with Doug from time to time.

Eugene Kim

Eugene is a former student of Eric's from UC Davis. Eugene earned his first Microsoft certification as a sophomore... in high school.

Glen Medrano

Glen is the latest addition to newly created Team Prime and the rookie of the Sacramento Office. He has extensive experience in customer service and uses those skills when dealing with his clients. He loves to learn new things when it comes to IT and is always striving to better himself. He has earned certifications in CompTIA A+ & N+ and is currently pursuing his certification as a MCP. He loves spending time with his family, watching wrestling, playing video games, and enjoys martial arts flicks.

Greg Metcalf

Greg is the latest addition to the Bay Area office in California. He comes from a Shipping and Logistics company in Marin County providing 24/7 support to global users. Greg has been supporting end-users since 1998 and enjoys the multitude of IT challenges. When Greg isn't home with his wife and two boys, he's snowboarding in Tahoe or fishing in the Delta. Whatever you do, don't get him started on any fishing stories -- he might not stop talking.

Hin Or

Hin has an extensive IT background, working for companies similar to Vital Networks, as well as managing IT resources for events such as trade shows. Hin is very knowledgeable and patient, as evidenced by his time spent teaching networking and other technology classes at a nearby technical school. Hin has done almost everything from skiing and surfing to skydiving and white water sledging (sort of like white water rafting but without the raft). However, he most enjoys traveling to new places, or reading a good book (when he needs a break from gaming).

Matt Salmeri

Matt S. is a Chowdahead. He enjoys spending time with family and friends and spoiling his Chihuahua, Bella. Matt has a love for all technologies... well, except Macs.

Matt Thomas

Matt is a second-generation IT professional, following in the footsteps of his father. He joined the company when we were short-staffed and eagerly jumped in and hit the ground running. In his first few weeks he impressed everyone when he became our first MCITP Exchange 2007 Specialist, completing the rigorous certification in less than a month!

Nikolaos Underwood

Nick manages the Boston office -- he was born and raised in Boston, MA. He received his technical education from Clark University, and spent the last 8 years working in the IT Industry. Prior to joining Vital Networks, Nick was the VP of Network Operations for a local MSP, where he managed 700+ end points, and an office staff of five.

When Nick's not behind a computer, he enjoys photography, fishing, skiing and golfing.

Amy Weaver

Amy brings the brightest personality to Vital Networks. When she isn't making her team laugh, she's keeping her clients happy with her friendly demeanor and eagerness to solve a problem, big or small. A self taught web geek, Amy also enjoys a good day of design and coding with the bonus of having an end product to show for it! Amy has been known to bring both her guitar and her hula hoop into the office.

Gail Wise

Gail helps out with administrative tasks in the office. A college student majoring in Psychology, Gail makes sure that our office is organized and the fridge is stocked! She handles her varied workload with aplomb, and in her free time enjoys spending time with her husband, baby and their two dogs.

Ben Wood

Ben hails to us from Australia, and is proud of it! Our first-honored Employee of the Year, Ben quietly works through tickets, all without breaking a sweat. He is a big-time rugby player and fan and will eagerly tell you the difference between Rugby League and Rugby Union.
